Michael Zimmerman Appointed to Board of XPX Maryland

Michael Zimmerman, Senior Marketing Strategist at Baltimore-based consulting firm MarketPoint LLC, has been appointed to the Board of XPX Maryland, a local chapter of XPX Global, a community of trusted advisors to privately-held businesses and their owners.

XPX Maryland helps Maryland business owners build value in their organizations through sound and proven business practices, regardless of their intent to hold or transition their companies.

“Our vision is that every business owner should have the opportunity to create sustainable and transferrable value in their enterprises and achieve a well-developed transformation or transition, including the potential for a successful exit,” said Zimmerman. “The organization’s mission is to unlock the collaborative potential of a broad-based and experienced team of trusted business advisors to create opportunities for our members.”

XPX members include accountants, management consultants, attorneys, marketing and top-line business strategists, business coaches, insurance executives, mergers and acquisitions specialists, valuation and wealth management professionals and more – all working together to foster better understanding of the many disciplines that contribute to the health and profitability of private enterprises.

Our first event will be held at 8:00 am on Friday, March 21, at the Rolling Road Golf Club in Catonsville. We plan to introduce attendees to the mission of XPX and the benefits of membership,” Zimmerman continued, “Attendees will be treated to a facilitated Power Networking session and a full breakfast. We’re excited about the event, as the Power Networking format is a proven technique for uncovering partner relationships between complementary disciplines.”

XPX chapters provide informative programming for advisors to business owners focused on building value and transformation. XPX Maryland will host a number of events each year, including presentations by former business owners who have successfully grown their businesses, transformed them and built value and in some cases exited their businesses. The programming format includes panel discussions with subject-matter experts, networking evenings, members-only dinners, roundtable discussions, and an Owners’ Academy, where members can invite owners as their guests to hear from other owners who have been successful building wealth and exiting their businesses.
